SeaGen's tests were supposed to commence August 20 but have been postponed. The jack-up ship "Jumping Jack" had to extend work on another contract and presently needs repair work as it was damaged during an incident in port.

It's April 2008 and SeaGen has been installed near teh mouth of Strangford Lough. It's the first commercial installation of its kind anywhere in the world. No doubt people will be closely watching to measure the success of SeaGen.

Marine Turbines is looking into similar projects in the Bay of Fundy, off the coast of BC and near the Skerry Islands (Scotland).
