Renewable Energy Projects Around the World: How Much is cialis blood thinner Installed and tramadol 100mg order Where

The Economist has put together a nice graphic using data from Enel showing exactly how many gigawatts of each type of renewable energy were installed as of 2010 and where that power was located. As of the end of generic viagra 100mg last year, the world had a total of 1,313 GW of installed renewable energy projects.

As of 2010, hydropower was still the global leader of renewable energy sources with 1,005 GW installed, but that could change in the coming years.  Hydropower only increased in installed power by 3 percent from 2009, but solar power had the biggest year over year increase with a jump of 70 percent from 2009 to 40 GW.

Wind power also added a nice 24 percent in installed capacity from 2009 to 2010 and comes in second place globally, albeit a pretty distant second.  If those trends continue, solar and wind power could catch up in the near future.

The greatest concentration of renewable energy projects are located in Europe, which accounts for 433 of the 1,313 GW.  Asia is a close second with 420 GW and will likely eclipse Europe soon.  Asia had the biggest growth in renewable energy installations with a 30 percent increase from 2009.

North America had 251 GW of renewable energy projects installed at the cialis online us]non generic cialis end of 2010.

Capacity vs. Production
written by Norbert, November 22, 2011
Does anyone know if the GW figures have been adjusted to take into account the expected energy that the various sources can produce. Hydro, geothermal and biomass can produce energy around the clock, although their output can be regulated to match demand. In southern Ontario, we only get about 4.1 sun hours per day averaged over the year. Wind can be quite variable.

Why aren't there any figures here for Australia?
written by Rhys Marshall, January 12, 2012
I want to know where the Australian figures are or for that matter the south American figures. Please don't tell me Australia has been lumped in with Asia? And what is Latin America? From my point of view that could cover everything from California, across to Florida and all the online levitra prescriptions way south to Tierra del fuego. So does that mean the massive installations in California and Nevada have counted twice?
