As a resident in Boulder all I can say is that this hasn't actually taken place. No one I know has anything to do with this. I think the goal is to try to get 15,000kwh/month customers down to 14,000kwh/month. Our family and many others are at 100kwh/month already. Don't need any stinking smart grid when you are down that low. - Paul

"Such systems MUST NOT be connected to the internet."

Totally! and whatever we do. Please please whatever we do, let's not connect banking, military or emergency management to the Internet. We'll all be doomed!

Ssshhhh! :o - Brent

Smart Grid is just code for 'vulnerable'. These smart grids based on automated monitoring and algorithmic control will just make a juicier target for Chinese, Russian and North Korean hackers.

Such systems MUST NOT be connected to the internet. - Gavin
